If you could do something TODAY that would impact the rest of your life – would you try it? Ephesians 1:11 (Msg) tells us; “It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ…he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.”
Because of HIS thoughts about us, in order to know what our next move is, we must know what HIS next move is for us, HIS WORD says in [Isaiah 55:11 -NIV]. “… So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
What does this really mean? Well, you must be convinced that God has your future under control. Then, you must realize that you must make a connection with HIM. We make a connection by spending a little bit of quiet time with HIM each day. Once you’re convinced that a daily quiet time is necessary for your personal growth and change, and then you must simply start where you are setting aside a time each day to spend with God. So, how do you go about having one? You may be motivated to do it but may not know how.
You need to consider four essentials elements of a good quiet time:
- Start with the proper attitudes.
- Select a specific time.
- Choose a special place.
- Follow a simple plan.
I can give you a simple plan – listening to or reading the Bible, daily Reading Verses & Declarations, but you have to commit to doing the rest. The goal is that as the WORD states in Psalms 119:11, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee”
So, this lets us know that we have to get more of THE WORD! If you could read or listen to the Bible everyday for 40 days – Would it IMPACT your life? “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” [Romans 10:17]
With a DAILY PLAN – anyone can take the time to know God’s Word personally! The Bible was always “HEARD.” God intended for His people to “Hear” the Word regularly. Hearing is referred to 1230 times while reading is referred to only 76 times and most of those references are related to reading aloud for others to hear.

How about YOU? Do you have a love for God’s Word? Where are you in your relation with God through faith? Would you like to have more faith? Perhaps you need daily faith? II Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith not by sight.”
How can you have more faith? Romans 10:17 No one can have faith without hearing the message about Christ. Most people would appreciate a fresh new touch from God. So, we get it by hearing THE WORD! During this consecration, we challenge you to listen to God’s Word (28) minutes a day for (40) days.
Wow! That might seem like a lot, but really anyone can take the time…
