Increase: God’s Plan For You

Many people have asked me about how the downturn of the economy has affected our full-time traveling ministry. It hasn’t. Our entire traveling ministry has increased every year for the past 8 plus years. How did you do it you may ask? And how can I have those results? In this article, I am going to give you some principles and facts from God’s Word to encourage you for your ministry.

At the beginning of this year, God gave me this message and He told me to preach this message as the first message in every church I went to. Why? Because God wants His people to know that He has increase in mind for them. Job 8:7 says, “Though your beginning was small, yet your later end would increase abundantly” NKJV. God always has increase in mind for us, and that’s what we always have to keep in mind.

Phil. 2:5 tells us to have the mind of Christ and the mind of Christ is a mind of increase.

Even in the time of famine in the land of Egypt, God used Joseph to increase supplies and to provide for everyone including his own family. We are the children of God and God said, “If we being evil know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more will our Heavenly Father give good things to them that believe.”

Look at the life of Job. He may have started out small, went through test, trials, and tribulations, still, he did not curse God and we all know how that turned out…he ended up with double. Keep encouraged. Dont look at the numbers or lack thereof. Look at what God says about you and your situation.

In other words, I refuse to doubt, and I am determined to think like Christ and His will for me. I know His will is for increase, not for decrease.

Do I have challenging times? You bet. But I constantly go back to the mirror of God’s Word and look into it to see what it says about me and my situation. Do you know what I see? Increase, in every area of my life.

God reminded me and explained to me an illustration at the beginning of this year, that even when things go wrong or difficulties come, God still has increase in mind for us. It’s called “The Slingshot Affect.”

When I was a boy growing up in the country we made our own slingshots. We went to the woods, cut a limb with a fork in it, then went to the garage to find an old tire tube to cut and tie to the limb. Then we looked for rocks to put in that slingshot and something to shoot at.

God profoundly showed me that even though things look like decrease, they look like your going backwards, and the pressure is mounting like that rubber being stretched back on the slingshot, that God is getting ready to let it go and you will be propelled into His destiny and over many obstacles that stand in your way. Get ready Pastor, get ready man and woman of God, God is propelling you into His best and greatest times.

God told Adam to multiply. God told Abraham that His seed would increase so much that it would be innumerable. Even when difficulties came and trouble visited people and tribes and even nations, it was for the eventual purpose of increase.

John 3:30 says, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” What is the purpose of you decreasing? So that God would increase in your life. Even in Paul the Apostle’s life, he was beaten several times, shipwrecked, and imprisoned, but all the while the Word of God continued to go forth. Paul said in Colossians 2 that, “God’s Word is not bound.” In other words, they could bind Paul up and try to stop him but they could not stop God’s Word…it could not be bound. That means, in the original, that it could not be forbidden, imprisoned, or stopped. They could do those things to Paul himself but not the Word of God.

The Old-Testament says it like this, “His word shall not return void, but it shall go forth and accomplish whatever God wants it to accomplish.” Psalm 71:21 says, “You shall increase my greatness and comfort me on every side.”

We know the Devils plan, “To steal, kill, and destroy,” but we also know God’s plan for us, “that we might have life and that more abundantly.”

Increase in Joy, increase in the Word, increase in the anointing, increase in love, increase in victory, increase in peace, increase in hope, increase in power, increase in dominion, increase in finances, Increase, it’s God’s plan for You.

Evangelist Troy Freeman is all about revelation and revolution in the body of Christ. With an anointing that exhibits God’s passion for restoration, Troy reaches out to the lost, the prodigals and the hurting, setting them free from bondages, leading them to Christ and empowering them to do the same for others.
